After a lengthy and courageous battle, passed at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale Site on Thursday, January 7, 2016, in her 66th year. Beloved companion of Russ Merrifield. Loving mother of Tracey(Glenn) Wickens, Terry(Karen) all of Feversham and Karen(Joe) O’Donnell of Clarksburg. Cherished Nanny of Shelby and Madison Wickens, Melissa Hogg, MacKenzie and Matthew Badgerow, Cody, Tyler, Abby and Autumn O’Donnell. Sadly missed by brothers Larry(Gayle) Hammill of Orangeville, Alex Hammill of Singhampton, Glenn(Mary) Hammill of Vaughan and sister Christine(Bill) Leimgardt of Singhampton. Daughter of the late Jim and Norma Hammill. Special niece of Marie Millar of Stayner. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Janie was the proud and talented owner and operator of Country Critters in Markdale. The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Service from Annesley United Church, Markdale on Monday at 2pm.
