Peaceably, Debbie went to be to be with the Lord on Friday, June 8, 2018. Beloved wife of David. Loving mother to Kenneth(Lisa), Kevin(Heidi), Shawn(Amanda) all of Markdale and Melissa(Evan) Barrett of Edmonton. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Spencer, Austin, Amber, Laura, Brooke, Caleb, Colby, Travis and Lincoln. Dear sister of Donna(Walter) Turdic, Dale(Lana) Snoddon, Darrell(Laurie) Snoddon and Daulton(Angie) Snoddon all from the Sunderland area. She will be remembered by many extended family and friends especially her family at Rock Mills Baptist Church.
Debbie was born in Sunderland on November 24, 1956 to Claire and Marie Snoddon, later joined by 4 siblings. After completing her education, she met David through farm connections and they were married on November 27, 1976. After an extended honeymoon travelling far and wide, including a 6 month stay in the Bahamas, they settled in Markdale. Debbie took great pride in raising her family, always making sure there was lots of treats including pies and home made strawberry sauce. Her strong faith reflected in how she raised her children and she was a true example of Christian love by putting everyone else’s needs ahead of her own. She was well known for her hospitality, and spent many years involved at Rock Mills Baptist Church. Debbie loved living on the farm and greatly enjoyed her gardens and nature.
A celebration of life will be held at Rock Mills Baptist Church (314009 Sideroad 35, Flesherton) on Saturday, June 16 at 1:00pm. Time of fellowship to follow. Interment has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully appreciated by Rock Mills Baptist Church or Chapman House Hospice.
