Robertson; Robert Norman
Bob passed away suddenly at his home in Carnaville, Markdale on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in his 58th year with his loving partner of Linda Chevrier by his side. He is the loving father to Michelle Chevrier of Vaughn.
Beloved son of Ruth Robertson of Shelburne, John(Deb Currie) Robertson of Markdale and step mother Marne Robertson.
Bob was a dear brother to John Jr. of Toronto, Frederick(Nancy) of Orangeville, step brother to Carrie(Cory Lafonte) , James(Dawn) all of Markdale and step sisters Andrea(Dean) Archdekin and Chrissy Currie(Brett Coates) all of Wasaga Beach.
Bob will be remembered as cherished uncle to John C., Elizabeth, Jeffrey, Allie, Jassie, Ward, Jackson, Grace, Paige, Skylar, Daniel, Dezeray, Zack and Madison, his great nieces, Alexis, Mckenzie, and Sophia, cousins Renee, Sherry, Grant in California, and Deana,Greg, Duane Hartin, and uncle Bob Hartin of Vancouver, Aunt Marie Ball, cousins Lyn, Roger, Ken, Tom, Tom jr. as well as family and friends in the carnival industry.
Bob was born in Newmarket on January 30, 1961. He grew up in Bolton, Niagara and Scarborough. He would spend his summers with his dad at the carnival while working on his diesel and auto mechanic license, which proved useful in the family business doing all the inspections on the trucks. He was a born entrepreneur, operating his own business at a very young age. Bob is probably the best concessioner there ever was; everyone wanted to play his games. He thoroughly enjoyed restoring old cars, dirt bikes, snowmobiling, was working on his dun-buggy and loved Star Wars shows, and classic rock music… he loved comedy, mostly stand up, and loved to make you laugh. But nothing was better than his own child like laugh. Bob was a fair minded person whom never took sides. He was very intuitive methodical and would often sit and take everything in before speaking. He was tidy and neat, these qualities are what made him such a perfectionist and so good at his job. Selfless, quick to offer a helping hand. So, many will miss their time spent with Bob, including the children. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews, reading to them and playing games.
