After a lengthy time of making Grey Gables Nursing Home her home Sylvia passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2016 of Markdale in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late R. Gordon. Loving mother of Larry(Nancy) of Flesheton and D. Bruce(Andrea) of Saskatchewan. Loved and remembered by her grandchildren Nicole Carter(Steven Wile), Lori(Neil) Talbot, Ian(Sandra) Batchelor and great grandchildren Kyle, Connor, Brooke, Hailey, Brayden, Andi, Clark and Danica. Dear sister of Viola(Don) Butt, sister in-law of Jean Cornett and Ruth Green. She is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Pearl(McConnell) Cornett, brothers Clifford and Jack. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Sunday, February 28 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Service from St. John’s United Church, 13 Spring Street Flesherton on Monday at 11am. Spring Interment Flesherton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Centre Grey Health Services Building Foundation or a charity of choice would be gratefully appreciated.
