LOIS KELSO HENRY (née ACHESON)
October 12, 1928 Markdale, Ontario
September 6, 2022 Petrolia, Ontario
Lois passed away at 93 years of age on September 6, 2022 and was
predeceased by Doug her dearly beloved husband of 67 years. Lois was a
wonderful supportive wife to Doug’s many adventures with his cattle farm and a
loving mother to their three daughters. She was a graduate of Victoria College,
University of Toronto. Lois was a member of the University Women’s Club and
loved playing bridge for many years with her friends. Her vocation involved
teaching junior high in the Etobicoke Public School system along with many
extra curricular activities. Her love of home, interior design and gardening
inspired her three girls. She was an antique furniture enthusiast and loved
researching the history of all her treasures.
She will be remembered as the cherished mother of Susan Robertson (Peter) of
Hanover, ON, Judith James (Michael) of Knoxville, TN, and Anne Evans (Fred) of
Strathroy, ON. Granddaughters Sarah Barnes (Brad) of Aurora, ON and Melissa
Willis (Derek) of Knoxville, TN, and grandson Michael James (Elisa) of San
Diego, CA. Great grandsons Henry and Malcom Barnes, and great
granddaughter Kari Willis. Predeceased by grandson, Grant Henry Robertson
and granddaughter, Charlotte Evans. In respect of Lois’s wishes there will be no
funeral service. Condolences may be sent in-care of Anne Evans, 14 Elwood St.,
ON, N7G 0G5. The family would like to thank the staff of Fiddicks Nursing
Home, Petrolia, ON for the exceptional care that Lois received. A private family
gathering will be held at a later date in remembrance of Lois.
