Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2022, her 83rd birthday, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale, of Maxwell. Beloved wife of 63 years to Guenter. Loving mother of Ulf(Barb), Thomas(Kerri) and Heidi(Brian). Cherished Omi to Kyle, Stephanie, Stephan, Cassidy, Savanna, Acelynn, Bryce, Sydney and Reech. Dear sister of Barbel Hasse, Hanna Jungclaus and Fred Muller all of Hamburg, Germany.
Karin was known for her friendly smile and contagious laugh throughout the town of Markdale. Many people knew Karin from The Import Centre where she operated her own Deli in the 70’s.
Karin spent many hours with her kids and grandkids as she was happiest spending time with family.
We would like to thank the amazing staff at the Markdale Hospital; Doctors, nurses and the physio staff, that helped mom in her finals weeks, while also helping dad, who suffered a broken hip. Words can’t express our appreciation for your care and efforts with both of them.
At Karin’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be gratefully appreciated. Online donations and condolences at www.fawcettfuneralhome.ca
