Peacefully, after a short battle with cancer, passed on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale of Flesherton in her 77th year. Beloved wife of 53 years to “Bob” Robert. Loving mother of Grant(Jennifer) of Foleyet, Darren and Scott(Kayla) all of Flesherton and the late Greg(1991). Loved and remembered by her grandchildren Morgan, Brenda(William) Lane, Carolynn(Alex) Beckmann, Ashley(MacKenzie) Heathers, Zachery and Zoey. Cherished great grandmother of Austin, Ayden, Gabriella, Chase, Cody and Kaylee. She is predeceased by her brother Michael Hunter(2019).
Anne was born in St. Thomas on July 2, 1944 to Thomas and Betty Hunter. She continued her education to become a school teacher and taught for many years at Grey Highlands Secondary School in Flesherton. Anne enjoyed many things, like antiques, crafts, boat rides and time at the beach, but time with her grandchildren was always her favourite.
The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception in Flesherton on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 6:00-9:00pm (Please register for times on our website or by calling the office). Funeral service the next day from the funeral home chapel at 11:00am. Due to covid restrictions numbers are limited please register ahead of time or view the livestream of the service at www.facebook.com/fawcettfuneralhome. Anne will be laid to rest with her son Greg at the Flesherton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Grey Bruce Health Services Markdale Hospital would be gratefully appreciated.
