Peacefully at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound on Monday, January 18, 2021 in his 68th year. Beloved husband of 40 years to the late Dorothy Anne (nee Pedlar). Loving step-father of Ruthanne (Dave) Risk of Markdale, Cathy Wilson (John Pratt) of Collingwood and Glenna Le (Dan White) of Wasaga Beach. Grandpa to Tim (Olivia), Nate, Sarah, Luke, Shelby (Matt) and Kaely. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Steve will be missed by his brothers Doug Carter (Betty Lou) and Allan Carter (Doris). Will be remembered by sisters in law Penny Pedlar and Ann Pedlar. Predeceased by brother Ray Carter and grandson Bradley Wilson.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and adored his grandkids. He was always interested in their lives and loved to tell them stories and tease them with memories of when they were small. He was a loyal supporter to the people he loved and could always be counted on when he was needed. He will be greatly missed and his memory will always be cherished by his family and friends.
