Suddenly at home on March 8, 2020. Of Berkeley in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Vera. Loving father of Paul(Gail Stewart) of Markdale, Derrick(Susan) of Berkeley, Timothy of Holland Centre and Wanda(Lyall) Crawford of Berkeley. Ronald is greatly missed by grandchildren Che Smart, Raymond and Jeffrey Turnbull, Nicole Crawford, Brittany Turnbull and Shelby Crawford. Great Grandfather of Zane. Loved and remembered by twin brother Harry of Elliott Lake, sister Katherine Harsma of Gravenhurst and brother-in-law Wayne(Chris) Curtis of St. Albert. Predeceased by brothers Sam, Jim and Nelson, sister-in-law Sandra and brother-in-law Jim.
Ron was a truck driver for many years, but his true passion was the outdoors. Members of the community will remember Ron for many hunting expedition stories of which he told to many of his grandchildren. Ron was known to love hunting, fishing, horse racing, and the love of his life Vera.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
