After a brief illness with his family by his side, at his residence in Markdale on Thursday, May 30, 2019 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Anne. Loving father of Judy (Ron) Schofield of Wroxeter, John (Noreen) of Crofton, BC, Kim of Nanimo BC, Jayla Lacey of Eugenia, and Jeff Lacey of Toronto. John will be greatly missed by grandchildren Crystal, Jacob, Zachary, Jeffrey, Michelle, Joshua, Robert, Victoria, Alexandra and Jenelle, great grandchildren Nova, Nash, Brayden, Liam, Logan, Ty, Jackson and Abel. Brother of Gavin of New Brunswick and Helen Kyle of Tara. Loved and remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by parents Ray and Aileen Richardson and brothers Alex and Donald.
John lived up to his nickname as Jack of all trades. A self-taught carpenter, he had a special way of envisioning an invention and making it happen. He loved hunting, fishing, his ATV and his hobby farm, and most importantly his family.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Sunday, June 9 from noon until the time of service at 1pm. Donations to the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.
