Mike was born March 21, 1946 in England to George and Joyce Wakeham. In 1967 he came to Canada to work with an uncle and enjoyed it so much he moved here a year later. He then met and married the love of his life Linda Dickie and they raised their two boys together in Brampton. Mike drove cab for many cab companies until he retired in 2012. This brought them to many moves enjoying family until they settled in Grey County. He had a great passion for golf, horse races and darts. Shortly after retirement, Mike suffered a stroke and lost some mobility but continued to enjoy his sports on TV, reading the paper and of course nothing could slow him on his gift of the gab!

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at a later date this year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. Online donations and condolences at www.fawcettfuneralhome.ca
