Peacefully, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale on January 1st, 2019 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Judy (nee Miles) of Flesherton. Loving father of Barbara(Ralph) Styles of Stayner, Eva Halliday (Charles Griffin) of Port Elgin, William Halliday of Collingwood, Joyce(Dan) Gold of Wasaga Beach and step father to Brent(Danielle) Lane of Shelburne and Michael Lane (Nicole) of Maxwell. Greatly missed by grandchildren Jamie, Jason, Penny, Peggy, Charmine and Kyle and step grandchildren Colter, Dillion, Gage and Brody. Fondly remembered by great grandchildren Nicholas, Abby, Kayla, Corbin, Andrew and Savannah. William is survived by his sister Joan Kaufman. Predeceased by his son Stephen, 8 siblings and step-grandson Austin. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Markdale Hospital.
William was known for his love of playing cards. He loved fishing and gardening. He showed great pride in what he did and most of all he loved spending time with his family.
