Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at home in Dundalk on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of 60 years to Donald. Loving mother of Don(Lorraine Braschuk) of Ottawa, Sandra(Tom) Ayotte of Kitchener and Heather(Bob) Huestis of Chicago, IL. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Tom(Ashley), Nicole, Bob Jr.(Arielle), Natasha(Michael) and Brittany and great grandchildren Makaila, Logan, Ethen, Zachary, Noah, Carter, Makenzie, Landon and Talon. She will be greatly missed her dog Mandy. Ella is survived by brothers Jim and John Purvis and sister Sadie(Fred) Schrader. Predeceased by sisters Betty MacIntyre and Mary Boag.
Ella was born in Scotland to James and Elizabeth Purvis on November 10, 1932. She met and married the love of her life Donald on December 27, 1958. They raised their three loving children together in Canada. Her greatest pride was her family. She taught them love and kindness by example, and everyone who met her could see this right away. She exuded elegance and grace with her sophistication and refinement. Ella will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton(1Highland Drive) on Saturday, April 7 from 12noon until the time of service at 2pm. Cremation to follow.
