McKeracher, Doris
Passed peacefully at Markdale Hospital on September 29, 2017 surrounded by loving family in her 93rd year.

Predeceased by her parents James and Annie Robertson, her husband Bob, and daughter-in-law Linda. Doris will be greatly missed by her children Robert (Melva) of Mississauga, Donald of Lake Eugenia, Douglas (Terry) of London and Kathryn (Robert Sinclair) of Union, Ky. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Rob, Tavis, Jamie, Lauren, Stephanie, Brittany, Kimberly and Courtney, and five great-grandchildren.

Born in Kirkwall Orkney, Doris came to Toronto, Canada with her parents in the 1920’s. Many happy years were spent raising her children in Streetsville; wintering in Florida; and at Homespun Cottage on Lake Eugenia to where she and Bob had retired and where she lived until her passing. Doris was fortunate to have had many good friends throughout her life. The family thanks the ladies of Eugenia and area for their friendship and help. She was an avid reader; enjoyed playing cards; and her many talents included quilt making, rug hooking and knitting, particularly the countless dishcloths she gave to family, friends, and folks she met.

A service of remembrance for family and friends will be held at Eugenia United Church, 159 Canrobert Street, Eugenia, Ontario N0C1E0 on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 1pm. A luncheon will immediately follow.
